OmniROM development?

I was reading that OmniROM ported the Tegra2 support for some devices to 4.4.x.

I still have a Thrive that I was meaning to get upgraded before dalepl moved to FL, and never got back on track. As I am tired of the Toshiba ICS and it's bugs, I was wondering if anyone is looking at trying to get the Thrive supported by the OmniROM code base?

internal storage disappered after factory reset

Hi, my thrive's internal storage has gone missing.
I performed a factory reset/wipe on my 32gb stock ICS thrive and was going to move files from my sd card to the tablet internal storage. I opened the Toshiba file manager and was greeted by a notification saying *error* you do not have access privileges. Looking under the storage settings tab it lists nothing under internal storage. On the apps tab lists internal storage as 3gb and shared storage as 360mb. Somehow 29gbs of storage has disappeared. I decided to get adventurous and decided to try and root my Toshiba thrive. I have been able to root it and have tried installing dalepl's deodexed ICS rom, the OOM HC rom, as well as pio_masaki's PAC rom. Each time I've been able to use CWM recovery and format the data, cache, and system partitions but nothing I've tried has been able to restore missing 29gbs of internal storage. Any ideas?

I installed pac_tostab03_4.2-milestone.1.release_20140119-004130.zip and my Toshiba thrive (US Version) internal storage become 2.9gb from being 16gb. Please somebody help. Thanks

IMM76.01.000072314 (DaleNet Stock Rooted) - Not Booting

Hi,
Have rooted my 10.1 Thrive - AT100

When loading IMM76.01.000072314 (DaleNet Stock Rooted) -US AT105 Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 - hangs on start screen..

Is this because I am running an Aussie AT100.

Runs the DaleNet-Thrive-HMJ37.01.5.0032-Stock_Rooted_ROM-v1.4 with no problems - except Google apps warnings..

Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to run ICS.

Facebook videos not playing

Hello,
I have a Toshiba Excite 10SE (300SE)
Updated to the latest firmware.


When Facebook started to play videos inside, they do not play anymore.
any videos run fine on the tablet, also YouTube, it's just Facebook videos that play internally.

PS: -Facebook's Autoplay does work, weird that the video playback itself doesn't
-Also when I click a video to play, i can move through the video by dragging the position bar, but it won't play.
- Tried factory reset twice already.

Does anyone know why or how to fix this?

I Was About to Say Goodbye, but...

As many of you know, I had moved on from my Toshiba Thrive as I obtained a Nexus 7 some time ago. However, I gave my Thrive to the wife, and she loves it. Three days ago, it just stopped working. It would not power on. Well, the first place I checked was here and went through a lot of the various threads on how to resolve this issue. Nothing worked, so I figured that I would be getting the wife a new tablet, a 10", and I started researching which tablet that would end up being (I, again, looked at the thread here on the topic of 10" tablets)--I expected it not to be another Thrive, and thus, I probably would be frequenting the board a lot less. Lo, and behold, my wife, in a slight fit of frustration and exasperation, banged the tablet "Fonzie" style (Yes, I know I am dating myself) and it came back to life! In the 24 hours since, it has been fine. I am thinking that something must be loose in the tablet, and I am trying to figure out what, because when I took the back off the device when trying to fix it, nothing looked amiss.

Anyhow, as it stands, I am not going anywhere (no goodbyes!) since the Thrive is still working!

(Although, in the interest of full disclosure, I have always said this is the best site on the 'net, so I probably wouldn't go anywhere anyway :) )

Hi I'm new here, I j ust bought a refurbished Toshiba Excite at305-t16 (did not get yet) and I need a ac adapter and the usb for it. My question is are there any universal chargers for the at305-t16 that are cheaper than the one Toshiba sells? Could I use a Samsung galaxy 2 charger or a ipad charger on it? Or is the usb only for this model, if so could I just buy the usb and use a ac adapter from my galaxy tab?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I don't know about this stuff and I can't find any Info on it. I don't want to pay $50 for it if I don't have to. Thanks for any help.

Thrive Looping Thru Leading Innovations Screen - No Boot

Ok - I thought I posted this earlier but can't seem to find it so I obviously don't have a clue about this type of forum. I apologize in advance!

I have a Thrive that (like a lot of others) keeps cycling through the Leading Innovations screen. It never boots. I have read through several of your posts and have tried what has been suggested (pulling batteries; taking Thrive apart and putting back together, etc. The difference in what I have seen here and what my Thrive does (or rather doesn't do) is that when I press the power/+vol buttons, I come up with the three options but when either the android or the out-of-box options are selected, it simply starts the cycling again. Never goes thru the motions or gives me any options.

I have called Toshiba - out of warranty. They gave me a third-party 800 number but they wanted $250 to even look at it. That's more than I paid for it! Is it time to give up and buy a new one? Any help will be appreciated.

File manager crashes when I try to open downloads file

Hi there,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me out a bit. Every time I try to open the downloads file under the file manager, I get an error message that reads, "The application TOSHIBA file manager (process com.toshiba.filemanager) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I have restarted my tablet about five times without any luck on it magically fixing itself. :) I am not a technological genius, but I can follow directions well enough if you can direct me.

Any ideas? If you can help, I would really appreciate it.

Hello. I am new to this forum and considering the age of our Thrives...I came here late. I have a 10.1" which I use as my notebook/book a college since I bought it new on September 2011. 3 years later, it has become rather slow and sometimes unresponsive. I have tried everything within its stock capabilities but ICS has always given me problems. I've read around that Jelly Bean is possible. So my question is: How can I improve my Thrive? Honeycomb or Jelly Bean? Or is a rooted ICS the answer? I would like to get the most out of my tablet since it endures heavy use. Specs below:

Toshiba Thrive 10.1"
Model: AT105 (according to Service Station | AT100 according Settings>About Tablet)
Android Version: 4.0.4.01.000072314

HelP: Thrive is slow, touch sometimes not responding, sometimes freezes, plus much mo

I've had my Thrive tablet since 3 years ago and lately It has been slow, touch sometimes Is not responding, icons on screen sometimes jump by themselves, and sometimes when passing pages it starts magnifying screen without two fingers touching, only one. Have disassembled big battery + blue one for 3o minutes, but still the same, any help out there? Please!!!! Only installed facebook, yahoo mail, adobe, chrome and that's it.

As my THRiVE is taking the place of my laptop (*sniffle*), I am using it with a wireless mouse. But I am wondering if it is possible to change the size and/or color of the on screen pointer/cursor. TIA! :)

stuck in bootloop after master root zip

this is my first time to this thread....figured this good place to ask,..i jus got this toshiba at100 thrive..used the root master zip..ran the batch file..screen popped up..hit yes recovery question..finially rebooted to install the root files..then just like it warned me ..tablet now stuck in bootloop over and over...so like it said tried running the fix it batch file..but its booting so fast dont think its giveing the pc time for adb to even work..error adb not internal or external command..opened up adb in platform tool typed adb devices was able to get that off before next bootloop..did show tablet and the number..then bootlooped...now dont even have time to do that seems the bootloop has gotton faster..anyways the fix it wont work..and the tablet not even rooted..jus stuck in bootloop..plz help i just got this..but i know its risky rooting..i dont care if i cant have it rooted id break it myself..lol..plz give me some links and instrustions..id be very gratefull

Darn! New TiVo App......

doesn't work with the Thrive to watch recordings over wifi like it does with my RazR HD phone and 7" Samsung tablet. It's supposed to work with 4.1, but the Thrive isn't supported for some reason. I side-loaded it and all other features work, but not the streaming. I sent them an email to see if root was the problem, but I don't think so. The Play Store doesn't know the Thrive is rooted and says it's not compatible. Would have been nice to connect the Thrive to TVs in motels to watch recordings on our trips.

FWIW, we're down to 120 recordings to catch up on after our trip and that was whittled down from 201. :) We got home Wednesday and recordings have been going pretty much non-stop during the day since. Right now it's the last of 3 episodes of Pioneer Woman and then 5 episodes of Trisha's Southern Kitchen for Jeanette. After that it's all dramas and there are more being added every nigh now that the fall season is in full swing. We certainly won't be at a loss for something to watch for awhile. :)

Can't Root My Thrive

I am late to the rooting process. My thrive has been running slow so I decided to pursue the rooting process. I have a model AT100, Build IMM76D.01.000072314. All rooting attempts have failed. I have tried with my Vista desktop, Win 7 Pro laptop, and Win 8 laptop. I loaded the ADB drivers and tried the TYBAR 1.0, and DaleNet Easy flashtool. Any suggestions?

Using ext2/3/4 for sdcard0 filesystem

Twice now I've gotten what I guess is filesystem corruption on sdcard0 (the internal storage) while running Kuroikaze Shinka. The main symptom is that the system takes about a minute to check sdcard0 on each boot (looking at logcat, it's usually 60 seconds plus or minus a few tenths of a second; I think it just gives up after that); and also stray files in /LOST.DIR. I finally got fed up with it, so this weekend I decided to learn how to back that filesystem up and reformat it as something journaled like ext3 or ext4.

However, I soon found out that this version of Android doesn't automount those filesystems. From looking at logcat it appears that FAT and NTFS are the only ones vold considers.

Does anyone have an idea how to sneak in a script somewhere that will get run at the right time so sdcard0 is mounted? I tried putting a mount command into the init.rc inside boot.img and repacking it, but after flashing that boot startup stalled at the initial TOSHIBA logo screen. I also tried putting the mount command in /data/local/userinit.sh and in a standalone file inside the folder /data/local/userinit.d; even though catlog showed that it should have been run, it apparently never was.

(As an aside, I see that sdcard0/.android_secure is another mount point. I'm not sure how necessary that is; I never see anything inside it. But I'd like to have sdcard0 mounted before the system tries to mount .android_secure inside it.)

Add audio.r_submix.default to enable chromecast screen casting

Hello,

I wanted to cast my tablet to my chromecast but because it is 4.0.4 the functionality is not built in.

So I found a work around called Mirror Enabler. However, this workaround does not work with dalepl 72314 :(

I am instructed to ask device maintainer to to add audio.r_submix.default to the product_packages in the device.mk file.

Please, it would be very nice :)

running out of space

Hi, sorry in advance, i have to translate from my french tablet. My intern memory show total space= 7,40 Go, applications =225 Mo, images = 547 Mo, downloads =96Ko, Divers= 402 Mo, available = 1,99Go.
I do not understand why I don't have more than 1,99Go left.
When i run Storage analysis app - the scale below shows = 1,02 GiB in 5866 files and 1,53 GiB free. I don't know how to interpret that but it seems that I lost somewhere like 5 Go.
I remove a lot of applications, emptied cache etc, and almost nothing enhance, something from 1,8 Go, to 1,99Go. I feel like I have nothing on my tablet...and it is suppose to be full because I have the message that I cannot download applications when it goes below somewhere 1,8 Go.
I buy external sd card which has still 2,51 Go available, but what we bug me is the low available on my tablet internal.
Many thanks in advance to help me keep my toshiba tablet thrive that I consider the best until now.
